How to Create Pink Lemonade Lips for Summer

Hey lovelies!

If you've followed the blog on Instagram or the Facebook Page, you will know that many of my lip looks have dimension to them. This is because I layer my lip color and add highlighter, eyeshadow, or pigment to create any look that I want. This month, I am doing a #MakeupMay theme on Instagram where I will either create a complete full face look or a light beat that focuses on one feature. Tuesday was about the pink lemonade lips you see above.

What You'll Need

  • A warm rose lip liner dupes for the one I used are NARS Lip Liner Pencil in the shade Rosebud for $22.00. If you are a Nars addict then you won't mind the price. However, if you are on a budget Wet-n-Wild Beauty's Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner in the shade "Never Petal Down".
  • A peach, light coral, or salmon pink lip tint or sheer lipstick.
  • A sheer brownish-pink lip gloss
  • Golden highlighter (2 if you want to be extra like me)

Create the Look

You can follow these written instruction or go straight to the video to watch how I created pink lemonade lips.
  1. Line and fill lips in with lip liner
  2. Dab on peach toned lip color
  3. Blot lips
  4. Re-apply peach tone in dabbing motion
  5. Blot lips
  6. Apply gloss to lips
  7. Blot lips
  8. Dab on highlighter
  9. (optional) recolor the inner corners of your lips with your lip pencil
  10. (optional) Apply a second golden hue powder that has a foil or frosted finish

Tips and Tricks

This method can be used to create any lip look you want. I chose these colors because summer is coming up and it felt right to create this look in anticipation of the season. If you have lip crayons and a gloss that has pearl effect to it, you can skip the powders. I know some of you have issues with dry lips making it hard to wear matte lipsticks and such.

What do you think of pink lemonade lips for summer? Are you going to practise this lip look at home?
