July 2016 #Glossybox U.S. Review Plus August Glossybox Reveal

Hey lovelies! I am not even going to beat around the bush with this one. I was not pleased with my July Glossybox. The value of the box was definitely higher than what my $21 subscription price is. However, the selection within my box was pretty crappy. Let me tell you why I feel this way.

The Composition Was a Huge Miss

Remember how I mentioned that the June Glossybox -- even though I was not a fan of every product -- had a great composition? This one failed in that area for me. I had one makeup, one nail, three skincare, and one body product. In my beauty profile I mentioned that I prefer makeup. In the surveys I've mentioned that I do not really use nail products. I always give them away.

With this box, I am kind of wondering if they even pay attention to your profile and feedback. I am not ready to be finished with them over one underwhelming box. Every business misses the mark from time to time. It only becomes a problem if it happens frequently in a short period of time.

The Items I Received in My Glossybox

I am not going into great detail about all of the items because like I said I was disappointed. As such, this could turn into a bash and rant post. I do not really want it to be that. With that said...

Tree Hut Bare Moisturizing Shave Oil: This wasn't a bad body product for the box. It has a pleasant scent and consistently.

EYEKO FAT STICK in Satin: I am not sure how this color made Eyeko think of satin, but I'll go with it. This is not a bad eyeshadow stick/crayon. I find it suits me better as a highlighter for my eyes.

Leighton Denny Miracle Mist: I have not used this and will gift this one.

Fango Purify Treatment Sheet Mask: This mask was okay as well. I found it a little hard to work with. It was messier than other's I've tried. I will say that the brand is not stingy with the serum. There was a healthy amount on the mask. I didn't notice any immediate results after using this. I think I may buy a couple more of these masks to give them a fair shot (depending if shipping costs are reasonable).

Vichy Thermal Spa Water: This is another mineral water spray like Evian Spray. This is not a bad facial spray. I have to admit that I like Evian Spray better.

Glov Quick Treat: This is an interesting product and I wish I received the larger square instead of this one. This fits over your finger, you wet it and you can remove your eye makeup and lipstick. It removed some lipstick and most of my eye makeup. Using this to remove mascara is not a good idea. You have to work the cloth too much over your lashes, which causes them to pull out. It's not worth losing lashes over.

Final Thoughts on July Glossybox

I can't say any product was a standout. It was disappointing for me. I would only consider purchasing one of the products again just to give it a fair shot. From all of the items they had available for the July box (see main photo), I wish I had these instead:

Sabon Shower Oil Delicate Jasmine
Nuxe Shimmering Huile Prodigieuse (dry oil)
Kerastase Nutritive Masque
Sabon Body Lotion Delicate Jasmine
Glov Comfort
I would keep the eyeko eyeshadow stick
