Apparel Construction from A to Z: Z-Twists and Zebra Prints

This is the last day of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. I am glad and sad to see it end. Glad as I got to the last three letters because they are hard to find topics for. Sad because I had fun sharing some of the knowledge I had. Hopefully, I sparked some interest in getting to know more about the creative and manufacturing side of fashion. Today, is "Z" day and I couldn't really find any useful "Z" topics to share. So I am just going to wing it and have fun.

Z is for Z-Twist

Yesterday we discussed yarns. Z-twist is related to yarn production. Remember how I said yarn is a bunch of fibers intertwined? A type of yarn called spun yarn has two directional twisting methods for yarn. The Z-twist is one them. It gets its name because the twist pattern resembles a "Z".

Z is for Zebra Print

A few years back animal prints were a huge trend. I recall zebra prints being huge in accessories at mid-range stores. I personally am not a fan of zebra print for a garment. However, I adore it for accessories. The print is fun and playful.

That's it for this year's Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. Which post was your favorite? I'll tell you mine in the comments.
