Missing Stockings

Women C&A DSC 2261
Stockings, tights, pantyhose, whatever you'd like to call them seem to have disappeared from many women's wardrobes. There used to be a time when skirts and dresses world never be worn without a pair of stocking covering the legs. Then gradually they were worn in colder weather to provide an extra layer of warmth. Now, it seems not even the cold can make some put on a pair of stockings. Two reasons come to mind.

I think perhaps convenience has a lot to do with it. Let's be honest, sometimes they have to be adjusted throughout the day. They can snag easily and get runs. For some us, we end up ditching them before our day is done if a run gets out of control.

At times they can be uncomfortable. When they shift on you, sometimes circulation is cut off a bit. If you wear support hose, they can be difficult to get on and can create a muffin top if they roll down a little.

For me, I still need to wear some type of stockings when wear a dress or skirt that hits above my ankles. I love the way they make my legs look. I do admit they can be inconvenient so I understand why some women choose to go without them.

Do you still wear stockings, sheer pantyhose, or tights?
