Budget Beauty: Wet-n-Wild Photo Focus Concealer Review

Hey lovelies! I recently purchased some of the new face products Wet'n'Wild has come out with this year. I purchased their Photo Focus Concealer to see how well it performed. I always wanted to know if it could replace my ride or die liquid concealer, Maybelline's Fit Me concealer. Let's find out if I am going to break up with Fit Me.

Purpose of Wet'n'Wild Photo Focus Concealer

This concealer has the same promoted purpose as the Photo Focus foundation, which is to not give you ghost face under different photo lighting conditions. My purpose was to see if I could find a liquid concealer that was cheaper and worked as well as my favorite liquid concealer, Maybelline's Fit Me concealer. I purchased two because Walgreens had a two for $6.00 sale on the concealers.

How Well Did Wet'n'Wild Photo Focus Concealer Perform

I purchased medium peach to serve as quick color correcting/concealer for my undereye area. I purchased medium/deep tan for other areas. The medium peach I required a couple of layers to give me good camouflage for my undereye area. With the medium/deep tan I used had better camouflage with that one. I didn't experience any creasing with the darker shades but the peach did give me some creasing under the eyes. This could be because I needed to layer the concealer.

Are My Days of Purchasing Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Over?

Sadly, they are not. Maybelline's Fit Me concealer is opaque enough to give me the coverage I need for my undereye area. However, Wet'n'Wild's Photo Focus Concealer does a better job on the rest of my face.

It looks like I will be also purchasing Wet'n'Wild's Photo Focus Concealer in addition to my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. However, I can make do with the Wet'n'Wild alone if money gets too tight. You know what I'm saying?

Do you think a $3.99 concealer can replace your favorite?
