People are either ticked off or happy as heck that Beyoncé is performing at the Country Music Awards tonight. Those who are upset probably forgot that The Dixie Chicks covered Beyoncé’s "Daddy Lessons" this summer on tour. I am seriously laughing my butt off at the memes for the CMAs. Even the ones threatening to boycott the Country Music Awards tonight. My girl Lisa a la Mode wrote an amusing post featuring some of these Twitter reactions.
Even though the CMAs are over, I know people will be talking this afterwards. As seems to be usual this year with Bey's performances on awards shows, the beyhive had to wait a little while before she graced the stage. The tweets while they waited were darn funny. Check a couple of them out.
They disturbed poor Whitney's rest...
Some even came up plot twists that would surely anger plenty had Bey did this.
People even called on help from Cookie Lyon because they couldn’t stand the wait.
About to snatch my edges tf out if I hear one more yodel that is NOT coming from @Beyonce's throat! #CMAawards50 pic.twitter.com/uCL5Yfgmfp— Bey's Bff 🐝✨ (@___Mochahontass) November 3, 2016
As was expected, Beyoncé and Dixie Chicks sang Beyoncé’s "Daddy Lessons".

Now this is not the first time that country music has fallen in love with a Beyoncé song. Sorry to burst any bubbles, it won't be the last time either. Back in 2007, Sugarland covered Beyoncé’s "Irreplaceable" at the American Music Awards and sang it onstage with Bey. It is no surprise. Beyoncé tends to have at least a couple of songs on every album that deal with common relationship issues. These songs easily turn into girl power anthems reaching across genres. Now for the important question.
How did you like Beyoncé’s and The Dixie Chicks' CMA performance of "Daddy Lessons"?
