30 Days of Beauty: My Winter Daily Must-Haves

I changed today's topic a bit to reflect my current skincare regimen this winter. I am not going to mention brands for this post, just types of products that I am currently using. Honestly, some things are brand interchangeable because they are pretty much generic like cotton swabs or petroleum jelly. Plus, this post is not about influencing anyone to go out and buy a particular brand based off of what I wrote here. Next winter, I might be using something different because my skin is aging. Besides, I'll be 40 next year and who knows what my skin might need by then.

Daily Daytime/Morning Skincare Must-Haves

I have a standard regimen for my skincare needs. They are altered if I have an acne breakout or I have a mild eczema flare up. Here are the basics for morning:

  • Cream cleanser
  • Witch Hazel-based toner
  • Hyaluronic face serum
  • Vitamin C face serum
  • Anti-aging eye cream that targets fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness
  • Oil-free moisturizer
  • Rosehip oil for brows and lips
  • Lip moisturizer

Daily Evening Skincare Must-Haves

For some of these, I might give two options. This is because it depends on whether or not I wore makeup during the day. I usually have to adjust what I use for makeup removal.

  • Oil or petroleum jelly for makeup removal
  • Cream or Gel cleanser. Cream if I don't wear makeup. Gel is for days I do wear makeup
  • Witch Hazel-based toner
  • Hyaluronic face serum
  • Retinol face serum
  • Eye cream
  • Retinol moisturizer
  • Rosehip Oil
  • Lip Moisturizer

Daily Hair Must-Have

For my hair, I only use one type of product daily, oil. I apply scalp oil every night. In the winter, I smooth oil over my hair daily. Both my hair and scalp become very dry during the winter so I have to moisturize them daily like I do my skin.

Now it's your turn. What are your daily must-haves for winter?
