30 Days of Beauty: My Holy Grails

Here is where the writer and vocabulary nerd in me clashes with the blogger in me. When I saw that Day Six's topic was beauty holy grails (for some reason it was spelled as one word in the pic for the challenge), I think of the term in its definitive forms. I know for beauty products this has nothing to do with the chalice Jesus drank from and the medieval knights who went on quests to find it. Therefore, I am going by the simple definition used by Merriam-Webster's Dictionary:

"An object or goal that is sought after for its great significance."

Going off of that definition, there are beauty products that fall within the “holy grail” category for me. It has little to do with if I could ever purchase these products. It has more to do with if I would ever spend my money on them. My holy grails are all products that I would love to try but I just can't reconcile spending my hard earned money on them. If I did decide to splurge, I still wouldn't buy them because I don't want to be hooked on costly products.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palettes

I would buy the naked basic palettes; I find them to be on the higher end of the spectrum but could waste a $25 Sephora gift card on one. The Naked, Vice, and Gwen palettes probably are the best eyeshadow palettes on the market. I know UD Primer Potion is the best primer I've ever used. Even so, when I am getting great results with other eyeshadows, I am not dropping $50+ on a single eyeshadow palette unless it has 125+ colors in it. Even then I'd be hard pressed to do so. I’m just cheap that way.

LancĂ´me Audacity Palette

Same reasons given for Urban Decay.

Christian Louboutin Lipstick

I want it for the name and packaging. I like that I could thread a chain, fabric rope/cord, or ribbon through and wear it as a pendant. At almost 100 a tube... I won't say what comes to mind.

These are my beauty holy grails. My budget mind can't justify spending the money on them. But... if I were a multi-millionaire I would consider it. Yeah, I'd be the rich person who is still cheap.

Lovelies do you have any beauty products that you consider your holy grails? If so what are they?
