This is a lazy Saturday for me lovelies. I woke up almost around noon and have just been chilling all day long. In fact, I was so deep in chill mode that I almost forgot about today's post for the 30 Days of Beauty Challenge. Today is about my favorite primers. Check it out!
There have been three face primers that I love and one that I like because it is more within my price range.
- Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Dark Spot Correcting: This was my absolute favorite primer and I should have stockpiled it. Unfortunately, Smashbox stopped making it. It is still the best for my skin.
- Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Primer: This is a fave of mine as well. I need to buy some more. It is great for me when my skin is acting right. Gives a great matte finish that lasts.
- Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner: This is my current favorite primer. It refines pores making them almost invisible. Creates a perfect soft matte canvas for me. The one thing I don't like about this and the Korres is that you are spending $30-plus for one ounce of product. When I do splurge and purchase them they are used for special occasions.
- Avon MagiX Face Perfector: This is fave face primer for everyday use. It creates a semi-matte finish for me. It lasts for a few hours before I get major shine action surfacing. It does a good job of blurring the appearance of my large pores. It is lightweight and blendable. While this too is only one ounce, it is only $11.00 full price. I always buy it when it goes on sale so I've never spent more than about $8.00 on it.
This is a simple one. Urban Decay Primer Potion is my fave shadow primer hands down! I love all of the different formulas. To save yourself a buck or two stick with the original formula. Sometimes you can get for $10 on Sephora.
If you wear false eyelashes or have super long and thick lashes then just use clear mascara as a lash primer. I've done it and it works to give your mascara extra impact for your lashes. However, if you go for lash primer consider my fave, Clinique's Lash Building Primer. It really separates and extends your lashes. Use it before your regular mascara for better results. Some people say it clumps in the tube. What I do, is wipe my wand with a piece of paper towel after use for each lash. As a result, I've had no clumping issues with the product.
There are other types of primers out there like lip primers and hair primers. I don't have a need for any of those primers. For now, the primers I've listed are my faves.
