Hey lovelies! The month of fashion begins September 10, 2015 when New York Fashion Week officially kicks off as the first of the four major fashion weeks (New York, London, Milan, and Paris). Thanks to technological advances, we have plenty of ways to see the spring/summer 2016 fashions on the runway. As usual, I will try to procure as many runway video clips as I can to post to the Runway tab. Right now, I want to share the New York Fashion Week schedule for the spring/summer 2016 season along with the designer shows I am most looking forward to seeing.
Pre-NYFW Celeb Fashion
Before we get to that, I thought it would be fun to share some fashion eye-candy via Getty Images' Fashion Tumblr. At fashion shows, people aren't just interested in what is being displayed on the runway, but what is being worn off the runway. I am referring to celebrity fashion. There will be an array of street and front row fashion being talked about during this fashion month. So, to whet your appetite, here is what some celebs were rocking the first few days of September.
Looking at what some of these celebs wore this week, I can't wait to see what they will be wearing once the fashion photographers are in full force at New York Fashion Week. I do have to say that Emily Ratajkowski and Diane Kruger were killing their looks.
NYFW Schedule and Shows I Want to See
I'm going to get right to the point and present the NYFW schedule.
Now for my list of NYFW S/S 2016 collections I am eager to see:
- Badgley Mischka
- Custo Barcelona
- Michael Kors
- Monique Lhuillier
- Naeem Khan
- Nicole Miller
- Ralph Lauren
- Rebecca Minkoff
- Tadashi Shoji
- Vivienne Tam
Normally Donna Karan New York would be on my list. Unfortunately, Donna Karan stepped away from the label she founded. For now, no Donna Karan New York fashions will be created unless or until LVHM decides to start it up again. That is the downside of no longer owning your brand/name, you have no real control over what happens to it.
So lovelies, which spring 2016 collections are you excited to see at NYFW?
