Bamboo and Ghassoul Clay Dermafoliant Mask for Face and Body

Recently I wrote about getting your skin ready for summer. One of the best recipes I've created helps both my face and body become cleansed, smooth, and even in tone. Learn about the key ingredient and why it works to give you smooth skin.

OZ Naturals Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Dermafoliant

When you see this long name, you probably are just seeing the buzzwords. Yes, these buzzwords do make you stop and wonder but the product they represent is more than buzz worthy. This dermafoliant contains the following ingredients that work together to give you smoother and softer skin:

Bamboo: Bamboo granules are the tactile exfoliant of this powder. It gently exfoliates without irritating or drying the skin.

Pro-Vitamin B5: This B vitamin helps skin retain moisture by penetrating deep into skin.

Alpha Lipoic and Lactic Acids: Both acids work by assisting the exfoliation process to break down and remove dead skin cells. They help to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of premature aging. Alpha Lipoic Acid also has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness, blotchiness, and shrinking the appearance of large pores.

Green Tea Extract: Most of us know green tea is rich in antioxidants. That's why we drink so much of it! It also helps to prevent collagen breakdown and tone skin.

Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Healing Mask

I gave a recipe for this mask earlier in the month. Of course, that recipe was just for the face. However, the ingredients and their healing properties work the same. When combined with the OZ Naturals Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Dermafoliant, there is a deeper level of cleaning and surface refining that occurs for which both the face and body (even your feet) will benefit from.

The Recipe

This recipe is for a 14- to 16 oz. quantity of clay scrub.

Ingredients
2.75 oz. bottle OZ Naturals Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Dermafoliant
1/2 cup Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Powder
12 oz. Peppermint Water
10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
14 drops Rosehip Oil
6 drops Argan or Jojoba Oil
6 drops Lavender Essential Oil
10 drops Tea Tree Oil
1 16 oz. plastic bottle with cap

Directions
  1. Pour OZ Naturals Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Dermafoliant and Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Powder into bottle.
  2. Add Peppermint Water.
  3. Close bottle and shake vigorously for about a minute. Add tea tree, rosehip, and argan oils.
  4. Shake to blend.
  5. Add lemon and lavender essential oils. Shake for a minute.
  6. Texture should be thin (but not water-thin) like a clay wash.

Use
Apply to face, neck, feet, or body in a gentle, circular motion. Leave on for two to five minutes. Rinse off and pat dry. Follow with a moisturizer. Don't forget to wear sunscreen if going outside.

My Bamboo and Ghassoul Clay Dermafoliant Mask recipe is safe to use every day on most skin types. I will say most because you never can tell how something will react on your skin. I recommend doing a patch test first to make sure you won't have any adverse reaction. Use one to two times a week.
