5-Minute Valentine's Day Makeup: Classic Red Lips

This is a favorite of many for Valentine's Day. Red is passion, it is the color of the holiday, and it is sexy. Red is the color to wear if you want to be noticed. As far as makeup goes, red lips are classic and quick. Here is a 5-minute how-to on red lips for Valentine's Day.

Face

Apply a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. I wore Pond's Luminous Finish BB Plus Cream with SPF 15, Medium Shade, 1.5 Ounce. Apply concealer if needed.

Eyes

Your eye makeup is going to be very simple for this look. Line your eyes with black or dark brow eyeliner. Apply one to two coats of mascara. Comb brows into place and fill in any sparse sections if needed.

Cheeks

A warm blush is best. I prefer to use bronzer as blush when I wear red lips. If you are fair skinned, maybe go with a light taupe blush or beige-pink. Simply sweep over cheekbones once for a hint of color.

Lips

Choose a red that flatters your skin tone. It can even be a berry red instead of a classic red for something slightly different. Line and fill lips in with a red lip liner. Apply your red lipstick. Blot lips. Reapply lipstick and blot once more.

This look is classic and sexy. It commands attention. The thing I love about the classic red lip is that just about any hairstyle works with it. It also works with a little black dress or faded blue jeans (though I hope you won't wear faded jeans on your date).

I hope all of you love birds have a very romantic evening tomorrow. If you tried any of the makeup looks from the Valentine's series, please share your beauty with us.
